The Leica M6 is a god amongst legends. Manufactured from 1984 till 2002 the device has been tried and tested by the great names in photography. Henri Cartier-Bresson fielded an M6 as did Bruce Gilden and William Eggleston. These heavyweights in photography used these camera’s for a reason. The build quality of the body is something to love, when holding the camera you can feel it wants to be used. Furthermore the optics that fit the M6 (M-mount) are impeccable. A true charm when used in any situation. When on the streets it is very discrete but when making portraits it brings a smile to the face of everyone who looks into the lens.
This is a limited edition version of the classic Leica M6. Created to celebrate 150 years photography and 75 years of Leica’s involvement in photography. This camera is platinum plated and covered with snake leather. The lens attached is the signature Leica Summilux-m 50mm f/1.4. Truly a beautiful fully functional collectors piece.
