The Leica M6 is a god amongst legends. Manufactured from 1984 till 2002 the device has been tried and tested by the great names in photography. Henri Cartier-Bresson fielded an M6 as did Bruce Gilden and William Eggleston. These heavyweights in photography used these camera’s for a reason. The build quality of the body is something to love, when holding the camera you can feel it wants to be used. Furthermore the optics that fit the M6 (M-mount) are impeccable.
This is a limited edition version of the classic Leica M6. Anton Bruckner was a composer and lived in Austria from 1824 and 1896 he is famous for the sound his musical compositions had, they were made to ‘sound like cathedrals’. In 1996 Leica made this M6 in order to commemorate the late composer who died a 100 years before. Only 200 of these platinum plated M6’s where ever made and are therefore very rare. The kit contains a body a matching 50mm Elmar-M f/2.8 lens.
