The Konica Hexar RF is the Japanese answer to the Leica M-series. The Konica lenses are made of legend, they are rumoured to be a replica of the iconic Leica-m lenses. Konica has never replied to these rumours and never refers to their brand as anything but their own even though the body and lenses look quite similar to Leica. Although the design of the body and lenses are shrouded in mystery the image quality certainly is not. The lens produces beautiful crisp images and the body reads the lighting very wel and is intuitive. The camera can be used in fully automatic mode or in aperture priority. This mode enables the photographer to choose the desired aperture and the camera wil choose the appropriate shutter speed.
Another cool feature this camera boasts is the mount it uses. The Konica KM mount is the same as the Leica M mount meaning the glass is interchangeable. In case you really want to know the difference between the Leica and Konica glass you can test it yourself.
