The Konica Hexar is known for its excellent lens and because of this gathered a cult following. It was rumored the lens was modelled after the famous Summicron Leica 35mm f2 lens because of the comparable image style and quality. This turned out not to be true but doesn’t take away from the fact that the image quality this lens produces is phenomenal. Furthermore, the camera has a rangefinder style use. However it is better described as a large point and shoot camera. Another special aspect about the Konica Hexar is the silent mode. This enables the camera to have an extremely quiet film advance action, autofocus and shutter cocking. Although this slows the camera down considerably it makes it a charm to work with. Two other features this camera has are the built in camera hood and the pop-on flash. With the flash you are never going to be left in the dark so you can take images whenever you want no matter the lighting conditions.
