Konica Hexar details

The Konica Hexar is a 35 mm fixed-lens, fixed focal length autofocus camera first released in 1993. The Hexar has got a 35mm f2 lens, rather expensive when new. Marketed as an alternative to the Contax G, the Nikon of the time, it appealed with its superb lens and the general high quality of its construction. It also has some unique features, such as a “stealth mode” that makes it one of the quietest of 35mm cameras despite its automatic winding. Among users, it is popularly referred to as the “Hexar AF” (for “autofocus”), in contradistinction to the interchangeable-lens, rangefinder focused Konica Hexar RF.

This camera is easy to operate and fun to use. It is small enough to take with you and packs quite a punch when it comes to image quality. We recommend this camera to anyone who want a powerful everyday carry.
