If Ektar and Portra had a baby, it’d be Kodak Pro Image 100. This film has sharp grain like Ektar 100, but its colours are closer to Portra 160 colours and tones (though not as warm).
Kodak Pro Image 100 is a 35 mm colour negative film featuring a slow film speed (ISO 100), high colour saturation, accurate colour and pleasing skin-tone reproduction and good underexposure latitude.

Kodak Pro Image 100 is a 35 mm colour negative film featuring a slow film speed (ISO 100), high colour saturation, accurate colour and pleasing skin-tone reproduction and good underexposure latitude.
It is intended for portrait and social applications and can be stored at room temperature—even in hot, humid climates. Its characteristics are similar to those of Kodak GOLD but with a slightly finer, but still noticeable, grain.
For those times when you don’t want to spend a lot of €€€, Pro Image is the perfect alternative without sacrificing much. Colours are bright, and there is no need to overexpose for good tones.
It’s hard not to recommend Kodak Pro Image 100, especially to shooters on a budget that want to try their hand with low-speed films. It’s not as cheap as Gold 200 and doesn’t even come close to Ektar’s sharpness or lack of grain, but it makes up for it by being a combination of both of those films at a very attractive price.
