Kiev 4 + Helios-103 53mm f/1.8 details

The Kiev 4 camera is a classic piece of Soviet photographic history. Produced in Ukraine from the late 1940s through the 1980s, it’s a 35mm rangefinder camera known for its durability and unique design. The Kiev 4 inherited its design from the pre-war Contax II, making it similar in appearance and function to the German original. With its sharp Zeiss lenses and robust build, the Kiev 4 became a favorite among photographers in the Eastern Bloc. While its production eventually ceased, the camera’s legacy lives on as a testament to the craftsmanship of Soviet-era camera makers, cherished by collectors and photographers worldwide.
